NSW: More than 100 employees re-enter building after gas leak

SYDNEY, Aug 7 AAP - More than 100 people have returned to work after a gas leak triggered
the evacuation of an inner-Sydney office building.

Workers in a nearby pit ruptured a gas pipe about 10am (AEST) today, forcing the evacuation
of 118 people from a building at Alexandria, the NSW Fire Brigades said.

After the alarm was raised, specialist fire crews rushed to the building on Euston
Rd, near the intersection of Sydney Park Rd.

The workers had closed the gas line by 11.30am and they remain on site.

No one was harmed during the incident.
